School is over for this term, and the Easter break is here, and I am on holiday for 2 weeks! Today was. of course, the longest day ever, but I shot out the door after school and now I can relax for a while.
The temptation is to stay home, work and get things sorted for next term, but I did that last holiday, and now I need to take time for me. So we will go to Spring Harvest tomorrow and I will walk along the beach (possibly at a 45 degree angle in a howling gale, but who cares....it is a beach) and take time to unwind, and then next week we go to Switzerland for a few days. More time to walk, this time in the mountains. Food for the soul. All the rest can wait. It is only a job, after all.
I may not be able to post for a while, but I will be back, with photos too.
Have a really wonderful time!!
ReplyDeleteRelax and get some much needed rest!!
ReplyDelete((hugs))
I envy your trip to Switzerland! I have always wanted to go there. Maybe someday!
ReplyDeleteHave a very well deserved holiday.
Oh Linds, I can just feel how dreadfully sad you are to be away from school for two whole weeks - HA!!! I am so excited for you. You must feel just the way we did when we were kids and had a holiday from school. Have a wonderful, restful time. Please take lots of pictures of Switzerland. I have a feeling it's the closest I'll ever come to actually seeing it.
ReplyDeleteI'm praying you have a time of rest and restoration and just plain fun. I'll miss you!!
Oh, the New Zealand beach AND the Swiss mountains! Wonderful...enjoy yourself and take lots of pictures! :)
ReplyDeleteYIPPIE!!!!! Have a blast and take LOTS of pictures!
ReplyDeleteI chuckled reading about walking at a 45 degree angle in the howling wind....but it's the beach. So glad you're taking care of yourself and getting away. I'm with the others about pictures of Switzerland. Sounds so devine. You'll be missed:o)
ReplyDeleteGeez, Linds. Happy to be on break, are you? LOL Good for you! I'm soooo glad you get a couple of weeks off to regroup and relax. Please don't talk to me about the beach. Just don't. I can't stand it. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, congratulations on your thinking blogger award. Definitely well deserved and you chose five great people to pay it forward to, too.
Oh, I hope you enjoy every moment of this break.
Have a great time at Spring Harvest. You been before? We are off to Spring Harvest shortly too. It will be my 20th successive year. Met my wife Rach there the 2nd time I went. The kids are now more hyper than me about the event which is going some. Love their strapline "Equipping the church for action". I have never been the same as a Christian or a leader since those early years.
ReplyDeleteHave a most wonderfully relaxing and refreshing time away from school! You are so lucky to get 2 weeks - we only get 1 and it's back to work on Monday. But I have truly enjoyed the days away and it's only 60 school days until summer vacation!!!
ReplyDeleteSwitzerland! How lovely!
ReplyDeleteSpring break here was in mid-March, and it was nothing like spring - snow everywhere, sick kids. How nice that your spring break is actually in the springtime!
Thank you for visiting me! Enjoy your holidays!
Why is it that we teachers are always compelled to use our time off preparing for the next 'round'??? I generally do the same thing...wise that you are breaking that cycle!! Enjoy your time off!
ReplyDeleteI too am enjoying not having to go and perform every day!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if you're at the same spring harvest as my brother and his family - at Skegness. That might well be the windy beach. I hope you have/had fun.
