It is wet and grey and bleak. And so is my mood. Life looks so much more ominous when you are so tired and things ache and the sun does not shine at all. So I won't bore anyone to death with a morbid and depressing post today. Life is not peachy. Hello world, my name is Linds, and I am not invincible after all.
Oh, and there has just been an energy chief on the news saying that gas prices will be rising 70%. I thought that would brighten your day, if you happen to live in the UK.
Hopefully I will have had an attitude adjustment by tomorrow.
Hi there!
ReplyDeleteThinking of you. Sorry to hear that you are doing it tough at the moment.
hugs.
Hugs. Hope you see some sunshine soon.
ReplyDeleteYou are not alone. Hello. My name is Donnetta, and I am not invincible.
ReplyDeleteWe all have days like you are having. Trusting yours passes soon!!
One of my favorite sermons was titled "Roses Will Bloom Again." Funny how often I think of that. Any chance of a friend watching a funny movie with you? Or, how about listening to the saddest music you can find and just have it out? Wish I could brew you a pot of tea and serve you some rhubarb bread and sit and chat. Don't worry, everything will be okay, Linds.
ReplyDeleteLins, Sometimes, no matter what we do, there will be days like this, and hobbling around with pain, and that dreary weather helps little.
ReplyDeleteI won't go on and on about gas and utilities over the roof, and headed higher, but I do plan to look for work closer to home, and buy some long johns to sleep in this winter. Grab a good book, or soak in a bubbly tub, or do both; do something to chase away those blues. Mostly, I just want you to know I am thinking of you.
There's always days like these...hope you feel better tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteAs for the gas prices...OY....I think it's time we all start walking everywhere.
I know that sort of day Linds. It's all right to be invincible and just take time to regroup a bit. You've had so much lately and it's perfectly understandable.
ReplyDeletePraying that the Lord will send a bit of "sunshine" into your day to bless and encourage you.
I loved yesterday's post - love the phrase "fell pregnant" -- Wonderful thoughts! I love that you are real with us in sharing with us how you feel today as well!
ReplyDeleteDid I tell you that we're watching the wedding from over there tomorrow morning at 6 a.m. Through that wonderful technology you mentioned yesterday, we will get to share Rachel and Conrad's wedding via the web. Am I repeating myself?? I think I am -- Maybe you could watch it too - want the address?
You know we could always revert back to the horse and buggy. Refueling them is so simple. You just have to schedule more time for travel. Living 30 minutes from civilazation in any direction sort of leaves out walking. Even if we didn't live so far from everything, walking would be out of the question for me. On a good day, I am in excrutiating pain before I even get half way through one of our super centers.
ReplyDeleteHere's a little tune I made for you my friend Linds. Sung to the tune of "I'm a little tea pot":
I'm a little sun drop,
short and plump,
If this doesn't get a smile,
Then over the ledge I must jump.
Not to worry... I will bounce. lol Anything to brighten your day. You know I would stand on my head for you, but there is that matter of the stolen body parts. Standing on my head would shift these replacement parts over my face and I could sufficate.
Hope your day turns around for you.
I'm afraid we all have these gray days, Linds. I've been having more than my own share lately.
ReplyDeleteThose are the days you need to just stay in your pj's and be kind to yourself, all day long.
Hope your blues lift soon.
Maybe this will make you smile. I'm so sick of HOT sunshine I could scream. What I wouldn't give for a couple of days of solid, non-stop rain.
I guess it's all in your perspective, huh?
Hope you feel cheerier soon.
xoxo
70% ?????? That alone would put me in a dark mood. I hope tomorrow will bring a sunnier day to your world, Linds.
