Granny's Girl....

Now, I ask you, is there any better way to spend the mornings???

Sigh. I am home, far away from the little mite. But tomorrow is Thursday and here we go with the horrible worm and tourniquet thingy again. It is going to work. That is what I keep telling myself. But cuddling my granddaughter is unbeatable, especially when she sleeps in my arms for hours.

Perfect. Just perfect......

  1. Sweet Linds,

This picture is pure perfection in every way. Granny holding a piece of heaven right here on earth. No, there is no better way to spend the mornings. Love you girl and am praying for wormy thingy to go smoothly for you tomorrow. Be blessed.

    Love and Hugs, Laurie

  2. Awwww, that photo tells so much. She's so cute and pink — and the grandgirlie is pretty cute, too. Has Auntie come home to see her yet?

Yes, it is going to work!

  3. Maybe they could bring that little bundle of joy to where the leg "thingy" is done and your mind would be far away from the torture.

There is no better way to spend a day than cuddling a special little grandbaby. Don't they smell extra special too?????

  4. There is NOTHING better than that little snuggly head between your neck and cheek!

You look so happy there. Keep the thought!

  7. The best medicine on earth for what ails you.

I'll be praying your treatment goes well tomorrow. However, if there's more missing the veins, and mistakes like that, it is time they are told you are not their practice manikin. First year med students are taught how to get it right. let's have some consideration about this.

Happy blessings on you and she, and the whole family.

I'll be thinking of you - and you are right - this tourniquet thingy WILL be a SUCCESS.

  9. I've just been sitting here staring at my special Winnie-Toes, thinking how delicious it must be to have her about.

    Sigh.

Baby snuggles and little burps and mewly little cries that turn into GREAT BIG WAILS that only grannies can comfort...now THAT'S what I need some more of. You simply MUST speak to Sean for me. Maybe he'll listen to you.

    Sigh.

As for YOUR leg, praying all goes well!

  14. Congratulations on the emergence of the Bump, and the world's most darling infant! I know that's exactly what she is to you, and I won't argue, since I don't have one at the moment, myself... ;)

And did you take that picture yourself? I am so impressed! Just like a teenager!!

She really is beautiful--I love that tinge of red in her hair.

May you share many blessed moments and years with her, Linds.

And may that procedure do the trick!

  15. I love the picture.

I look forward to the day too, when I can cuddle the "Baby" to sleep and sit there for hours (I'm hoping my girls will have them :)). My mom did that on every visit with our girls. She'd say when she left "Well, I've messed her all up, and now you have to get her sleeping on her own again."
    I never minded - it's a Grandparent right - Right? :)
