There is a whole lot of this going on here. Multiply the photo above by 200 and you can visualise the chaos in the sewing room. The carpet is covered with thread.
These are part of the finished pile.......
And these are now finished and rolled.
It has been another grey day here. Mizzle, says Jean - a mixture of mist and drizzle all day so the hair is now corkscrewing sideways from my scalp in a truly fetching manner. I was minding my own business here, when the MSN live chat started up and I nearly failed to recognise myself.
Mother, Jean and I were in town early this morning to get wool, and other vital essentials. Jean is masterminding the Alpha course cooking, so had to stock up on fresh bread as well, and then she and I headed off to aquazumba. Today we worked hard. Very hard. I ache. But that is good because the class tomorrow is cancelled. The pool is still leaking. As we said today, we have no idea why they don't just close the pool for a week and get it sorted once and for all. At least it was warmer today. Apparently they used hot water from the showers to fill it this morning. Hah. It was balmy. Positively tropical.
Home made vegetable soup was the meal of the day - we now have a cauldron of the stuff, and it is delicious on a chilly evening, I have to say. David is cooking tomorrow too, so I can relax for a few days. And now I HAVE to go and finish that quilt. It is making me feel guilty. Another couple of weeks and the winter colour change will be upon us, and I have to have it done before then.
Day 8: I am thankful for laughter. For for the way we can turn ordinary things into fun times, if we smile, and laugh out loud. I wish you could see us at aqua - you would laugh till you cried. We all get A* for enthusiasm. The style is not so good, but the laughter is wonderful.
I certainly am not sure how you managed to sneak into my sewing room and take this photos. (Have been trying to clean the upstairs rooms and it's just like trying to close the lid of an overstuffed suitcase. If I take out what doesn't belong here then it goes there where it certainly doesn't belong. There's only the donate pile or the garbage bag to solve it.)
ReplyDeleteWe had yummy soup for supper last night as well and I tried my hand at homemade noodles. Perhaps I am not meant to make them for they were tougher than shoe leather.
Glad that you swam in warmth today. Cold water is not good for such things. Muscles seize and all manner of ill. Yes, they need to fix it once and for all. And you know that I'd love to be a fly on the wall.
these photos...this photo...sometimes I can make things agree...
