I started writing this yesterday and then I sort of fell asleep.....
Friday.
Today has been a day of form filling, and thank God I have friends who came to do it with/for me, together with the aid of an adviser on the speaker-phone. I simply could not fill them in. And thank God too for speaker-phones. And for advisers. And for friends. And for coffee and hot cross buns too.
I feel as though I have been in a marathon, and could quite easily retire for the night and it is only 2.25pm. Oh - and I am waiting for a call to tell me when I can go back to Bath to discuss recent events too. A whole new situation and more to learn.
Draining, people - it is draining.
So.....what have you all been up to? What do you have planned for the weekend? I have my son and his wife and Missy coming to stay tomorrow, and Missy has been packing. I am not sure what she has been packing , but she is too busy to talk on Skype because of the packing. Moregranny has plenty for her to play with, so it will be interesting to see what she brings with her. That reminds me - the toys need to come down from the deck too. Hmmm. I may wait till tomorrow to attempt that one. I need to put the cuddly toys on the bed, and find the Little People town and......
Oh, it is going to be great.
Saturday
And now it is today and I am waiting for Missy to arrive in about half an hour and I need to stop the pacing and looking out of the window for a bit, so here I am.
Those forms have been posted by registered post, and there is a new bunch of daffodils gracing the window sill. The toys are out - well, some of them, and the house is Missy-proofed, as in the chocolates in the bowl have been removed to a higher perch. The consultant at Bath called back yesterday and we had a very long chat. I need to listen to relaxation tapes every 2 hours and do the breathing exercises. Hmmm. I will start that one on Monday, I think. And they will see me in a couple of weeks when the meds have all stabilised. One of them leaves me with a constantly dry mouth which is very irritating. I try to talk and my tongue sticks and I sound as if I have hit the bottle. Oh well. If it makes the rest of me behave, I can put up with that.
So.... Am I excited??? What do you think?? I can't wait for them to pull in to the drive. I may just go and look out of the window again......
I know you will have a fabulous weekend, Linds. I can't wait to hear what she packed.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the papers are all posted and behind you now. Look at is as if you have climbed another step in that staircase.
Oh I can really tell I've missed too much and must go back to catch up. I'm wondering if an ice gel pack in a recliner would help you...
ReplyDeleteHave great fun with Missy and her parents, too, of course! Take care, be well.
Have a wonderful time with your family but take care of yourself too.
ReplyDeleteBusy busy but have fun spending time with them
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having a grand time together! It's the best day when the little ones arrive - everything is right with the world when they are around :) Take care, Linds - do you do the dreaded time switch this weekend?
ReplyDeleteHello Auntie Lindsay. Apparently good stuff for dry mouths is this stuff: http://tinyurl.com/7ceb6t3. They also do gum and toothpaste and stuff.
