Approaching explosion point......

This will be brief. I am not in a great mood. The whole leg is infected. The past 12 days have meant doctors and hospitals and inept 12 year olds who have barely started shaving yet who seem to think they have all the answers, yet know nothing at all, and I have tried to forget the lot of them. I just want to go to my family in Switzerland and forget this ever happened. Today? .... Antibiotics. Rest. Back again if no improvement or gets worse.

Knee measures 55cms. Check that out.

Red+swollen+shiny=not good. Ask any mother. If they had listened to me 12 days ago.......

I am ready to scream.

  1. Oh Linds, I am so sorry. Why is it infected? Any chance that it might be a blood clot (thrombosis)instead of an infection? It would make more sense to me. It does not sound good. I'd keep a good heat on it as well. I am praying that this gets resolved SOON!!!

  2. Scream? I'd be ready to kill somebody so you're doing very well considering. Linds, is it possible to go to your family in Switzerland? What's the state of healthcare there? Goodness, come to the US, we can get you some qualified help.

In the meantime, keep looking for God in the interruptions. He must have something big, really, really big in mind and it is not an infected leg.

I'm SO sorry. I'd scream too if I were you. You've been much more patient through all of this than I would have been. I pray that you get some competent care and soon!

  14. I'm frustrated for you...this is just gone beyond ridiculous! You are definitely not getting the care you should be having...that leg needs to be looked at thoroughly and by a doctor who knows what he's doing!!!! My prayers are with you my friend. xoxo

  15. At this point, all I can do is pray for you Linds. This is just unbelievable.

But please, please, try to find a way to stay positive through this nightmare.

    I know.

But it's proven, a positive attitude helps in healing.

I'm just absolutely amazed at how far this has to go before you actually get some constructive help.

  17. Praying for the inept to become ept, the infected to become uninfected, and the 12-year-olds to become 52-year-olds with brains instead of balderdash.

    Hang in there, friend!

  19. So sorry to read that your leg is infected!!!! That is certainly one thing you DON'T need at this point! I do hope you get some relief soon. I know what you mean about the doctors looking like 12 year olds!

Glad you like your LL Bean socks! We go there quite often as their main store is near where we have one of our offices. They make good stuff and if for some reason you don't like it they are very good about taking it back. No questions asked!

  20. I too wonder about clots. Hope you can get a scan or something done to make sure it is infected and not something else.

Thinking of you and praying for healing.
