All action here....

No time to post anything edifying - my sewing machine is whizzing and so is the embroidery machine. I am trying to keep up with them...... I wish you could see what my house looks like. It appears as if something has exploded. The saw is also in action for good measure. When I do something, I do it to extremes.

So I have trashed 3 rooms, and the microwave is now sitting in the middle of the kitchen. And I keep finding material and thinking -ooh I can use that for x, y, or z. Sigh. I only remembered to eat something at 9 tonight. But while I am on a roll.......

I will be back. I will be the one covered in thread, glitter and sawdust. And rice. Do not ask. It is just as well we do not have Thanksgiving here!

By the way - if you sew, save all the bits of thread you cut off, the ones you usually throw away. Pop it all in a laminator pouch with some glitter and a few stars etc - what ever you have around, and laminate the pouch. Then you can cut out christmas shapes and hang them on the tree, and they look brilliant. Or use them to decorate cards, or as gift tags. Whatever you feel like doing. Just plain glitter in a pouch and laminated is also perfect. Try it and see!

  1. I hope that you will take a photo of the "thread lady" as I can't wait to see it. It all sounds like such fun.

I save my thread scraps and fuse them together to make a piece of fabric. The ornaments are a great idea.

  4. Sounds like you're really on a roll! I need to get some inspiration SOON! I don't ever even start thinking about it until after Thanksgiving.

Please show us a picture of the laminated ornament - and of your kitchen for that matter!

  5. Well I do not sew, but I am going to pretend I do and cut off all them threads and then get the students to make those fabulous Christmas decorations - thanks Linds! Was wondering what to do with them next week. Do you have any other ideas - anything?

  6. I like the laminator idea - especially since Shan has one. Going to try that.

  8. Laminator pouch? So the creative bug has struck and the house is all a wreck and you're not remembering to eat. Funny that you sound so very happy!
