Britain's Got Talent live semi final is about to start, and Susan Boyle is singing tonight, so I am just popping in to say I am having a totally wonderful weekend. The sun is just setting after a beautiful day. The second in a row, and it has been hot and sunny and blue skies and no wind, and I have been in the garden all day. Well, apart from the trip or 3 to the allotment, and to church. Just the best. Everything is growing so fast at the moment!
I spent most of yesterday out there too, apart from the dash to town to sort stuff. And then Jean came round for the first BBQ I have done this summer. That was superb, and the best was sitting there and hearing everyone out in their gardens, laughing and having fun. I lit the chiminea as it cooled down, and we were sitting out there till 10pm. Sigh. I love summer. I love my garden. I love blue skies.
Tomorrow Diana comes back, and then on Tuesday we are off for 6 days. She has been having a great time in London catching up with all her friends. And that, my friends, is my update. David starts exams on Thursday, so he is working hard. Missy is the proud owner of a Bumbo chair and loves sitting in it. And did I mention the sun is shining?????????
Missy is sitting in a Bumbo already?! Woah Harley you need to step things up a bit you lazy boy! Lol!
ReplyDeleteYeah for family and sun and summer warmth.
ReplyDeleteWe just watched Susan Boyle. So nice to see her doing so well. And nice to hear you have been enjoying the weather. We spent the afternoon in the garden sharing a bottle or two of pink sparkling wine with our neighbours and feeling summery. We are hoping to get away with a bbq tomorrow lunch time, but the forecast doesn't look so good.
ReplyDeleteSounds wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see Susan again - I just hope all of this doesn't ruin her life.
Where are you going for 6 days with Diana? When does she go back to NZ? What does she do there?
Miss Katie has finally decided to begin walking in earnest today - has been showing off for all the relatives at our rained-out picnic in the house. So fun to watch.
You sound so happy, LInds! Summer will do that, won't it?!! We sat on the deck this evening and watched the mountains recede into the darkness. There is so much beauty in our world :))
ReplyDeleteI was in the garden this weekend too! Enjoy this week with Diana!! Take care!
and if I'm not mistaken it is your birthday very soon. In case we don't bump into each other before you take off with Diana - Happy Birthday.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that the sun is shining.
It sounds like the perfect way to spend some time, Linds.
ReplyDeleteHave a great time with Diana.
And she did so well again! A bit of a shaky start, but a wonderful finish. I've played "Memory" on the piano three times this morning because it's stuck in my head. No singing, though.
ReplyDeleteHave a splendid six days away! Sounds as if your spirits are bright and as bouncy as the babe's are in her new bumbo chair.
It sounds so absolutely perfect. That's very much like it's been here lately and I've enjoyed my patio swing a lot!
ReplyDeleteGlad you've been enjoying your nice Spring weather. It's stormy and pouring rain here with a little sun between storms.
ReplyDeleteHave a great time with Diana and good luck to David on his exams. :o)
Love and hugs,
Diane
You sound so happy! That is nice after all you have been through in the last year!! We had frost last night an I had to haul inside all the annuals that I bought yesterday. Thankfully I hadn't put them in the ground yet. Another frost tonight and then that should be the end of it. :o) Have a wonderful six days with Diana!!!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI just popped over from Pea's corner to say Happy Birthday.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your blog and looking at some beautiful photos.
I hope you don't mind.
God bless.
Happy birthday if it's soon and have a lovely time away with Diana.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you are having sun! We are having cloud upon cloud, with sullen skies every.damn.day!
ReplyDeleteAs to appliances all dying at once... it seems to be some cosmic conspiracy, doesn't it!
You sound so happy and I'm thrilled for you :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy this wonderful time :)
Hope you are thoroughly enjoying your time in Switzerland with your daughter!
ReplyDeleteAnd best of luck with resolving the appliance 'issues.' S
What a happy post, Linds. Your garden sounds so inviting. I love summer too, and especially summer nights.
ReplyDeleteJust dropping in tonight to let you know I am thinking about you and I can't believe I didn't see this post before now. Where is my head at? Missy sounds like she is doing wonderful and I hope you have been enjoying her and your time with family. Yes, the sun has been shining and it feels so good to be summer too. Love you girl.
ReplyDeleteLove and Hugs, Laurie
