I LOVE holiday time....

I am on holiday. Yes!!!!!!!! I am surprised I didn't leave tyre tracks on the exit ramp from school yesterday. And I may even have tried to do wheelies if I hadn't eaten all that choclate and if the car was not so heavy. But I think you get the picture.

I am glad it is half term. (She says, in a more decorous fashion.)

I cannot tell you how excited we all are about our epic explore the Alps break. 10 of us leave on Monday for a holiday in the snow. It is just a short break, but 6 of the 10, including the 3 children, have not been there before, and it is my duty to introduce all my friends to the most beautiful place on earth. I can do that.

And I will not forget all of you, so expect photos. There will be many. The Alps are bracing themselves for our arrival. Not to mention my family.

So now I am off to do all the million things like clean the house, do the shopping, do the washing etc etc , oh and pack too, that I need to do before I leave. I have spoken before of the crazy need I have to make sure my home is spotless before I go away. Lunacy. But lovely to come home to as well. So I will report in from high up in the snow soon. Note to self : pack camera cables.

Have a great weekend!

Oh my! We will so be looking forward to your picutres of the Alps!!! I have never been there but would love to some day, although these days we tend to only go places tropical. You deserve a nice vacation from school so I hope you really have a wonderful time! Oh do I ever hear you on the 'house cleaning before the trip lunacy'!!!! I do the same thing even if it's just away for a few days. As if the cats care if the house is spotless!!!!!!lol!!

I know what you mean about leaving the house orderly when you go away. I've done that all our life, and it makes coming home even that much better.

Have a wonderful and safe trip. It sounds heavenly!

How lovely Linds! I can hardly wait for the pictures - it's the next best thing to being there.
I know exactly how you feel about the house. It is nice to come home to a clean, orderly house - and then too, if something were to happen to me while I was gone I would hate for people to have to say "What a terrible housekeeper she was!"
Have a wonderful time Linds. I can feel your excitement all the way over here in Texas!

Have a simply mah-velous time, Dah-ling! You so deserve and need this break. I pray that you will travel safely and enjoy showing this place that you love so much to our friends. I'm looking forward to seeing pictures.

And in a side note #1 - I haven't said anything on my blog (will do that in the next day or 2) but just wanted to tell you that we are going to South America for a month, beginning next Wed. So I may be away from a computer but I will hold you close in my thoughts and prayers.

And #2 - Melinda was able to find a gynecologist in Poland, they did extra tests ultrasounds and she is awaiting results now. The prescription helped with the pain so at least she's not so uncomfortable now. It's not life threatening but nevertheless worrisome. Thank you so much for caring :)

Yes, have a lovely holiday! I've had my measley three days... but it was wonderful, even if just spent at home.

I'm not sure that anyone loves me enough to put up 10 of my friends and relations...

I too have to leave the house spotless so that if I never return, my mother won't have to think of me as her slatternly daughter.

Have fun. I have a theory that teachers enjoy their holidays more than anyone else because of the stress and difficulty of the job.

Have a great time Linds. I too like everything spotless before I leave so that I can come home to that.
Half term just finished here.

Hope your trip to the Alps is positively fabulous. I can't wait to see the photos that you will take and share with all of us.

I, too, cannot leave without going on a cleaning frenzy here. It is so nice to come home to a clean place.

Try to clear your mind of school for the whole trip.

Enjoy this nice little trip, Linds. I know you're ready for a break.

I'm the same way. House has to be in tiptop shape when I go away. I like everything to be clean and tidy when I return home too.

Enjoy your trip. Being in the states it seems surreal to hear someone talking about taking a little trip to the ALPS!! Wow!

Have an absolutely wonderful, fantabulous time! I know you will. You have a lot more moxie than I do when it comes to climbing around on those rocks - especially in the snow! DC has to go into the Rockies on a regular basis to be restored, so I get what you're saying.

I for one, can hardly wait to read your posts of your holiday.

Have a safe trip and a wonderful time..
