BHM Part 2

This is coming to you from the floor, where I am lying. To ease the aching muscles. Because I am pig-headed and ignore my own advice. I sewed up a quilt for a friend today, and she paid me some money which I spent on paint. And then, in a fit of total insanity, I painted the small shed. Then the bench thing. Then the big shed. Then the fence. Then I could not move.
They will need a second coat but that can wait. Probably till next year.

After levering myself into the car to go and get something cold to drink, as I had also consumed all cold things in the house, I noticed a gaping hole around the drain pipe from the sink. Which might be an open portal for any passing rodent. So I got out the foam filler stuff and filled that gap. It now looks like it is growing. In fact it looks like a flower. I may paint the pipe green. I have green paint, after all.

And then I repotted all the tomato plants and got the pots ready for the beans, which I appear to have lost. Oh, and I planted some seeds in the garden. And now I am ready for bed. It is 5.49pm.

I need a holiday.

I'm not surprised you're ready for bed after a day like that. A good night's sleep sounds like just what you need.

You are really something! I thought you were supposed to be taking it easy on your body!

You can get new cushions and it shouldn't cost an arm and a leg.

Take care of yourself!!

And well you should be ready for a holiday! I can't believe how much you accomplished. I vote to look into cushions to hid the rest of the stains. Then you would only have to do the arms and legs.

I do love the color you selected for the painting.

Have a good week.

You're as bad as me, trying to do everything in one day! lol You sure have been a busy bee and it's no wonder you're so sore!!! It all looks great, though, and once you've stopped being sore, you'll be able to appreciate all your hard work:-)

I can't get over how ahead you are from us where your plants are concerned...we can't plant anything here until the start of June because there's still a chance of frost up until the end of May. Our trees are just now starting to bud...my lilac tree won't be blooming for a while yet! Just look at yours, it's gorgeous. And as you say, they smell soooooo wonderful!!

Take care of YOU!! xoxo

It all looks lovely, but shame on you for not taking better care of yourself.

Time for a hot bath and cuppa tea -- chamomile to relax and soothe you, dear Linds.

Praying for you tonight before I head off to bed and take care of myself.

Hmmm, I see how valuable my advice is! ;>

Oh, Linds, how fun to catch up here! I think we are very similar, in that I do the same sorts of things. Never intend to spend the whole morning cleaning out a closet, but once I start, I can't stop! I love all your photos of your back yard, made more lovely by all your efforts.

Love your thoughts on "quality." Maybe that's an explanation for why I love resale shops; when it breaks, I have an excuse to buy another one!

Re: your archives...don't feel pressure to "move on and get over it." Give yourself permission to take all the time you need. Write for readers, write just for yourself, write to God--whatever helps is probably healthy.

And REST UP NOW!!!
