Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!

First, to all my American friends around the world, Happy Thanksgiving! I am looking forward to reading all your stories after tomorrow, and will be thinking of you all celebrating with your families.

It is cold and wet here, and I have been finishing off the studio, which is looking good. Photos will be up of the finished room probably tomorrow. It works. I zapped up some plain cream curtains this evening, and went straight to the curtain tape and then the hooks! I haven't got round to putting labels on drawers or boxes yet.

The UK is a little on edge today, after some imbecile at HM Revenue and Customs copied and then lost 2 or 3 copies of the Child Benefit Database. All 25 million sets of data, including National Insurance numbers, bank accounts, dates of birth etc. Perfect. Just perfect. So absolutely everyone in the country with children under 19 has compromised bank accounts. Including me. It doesn't matter how careful we are, shredding all personal details and protecting ourselves, when it is possible for the GOVERNMENT to lose our details. Give me strength. The PM has "apologised for the inconvenience." INCONVENIENCE???????? What planet is the man on?

You might note that I am feeling a little tetchy about this. You would be right. And, as I speak, England is losing the Euro qualifier football match against Croatia, and they have to win or draw, or else are out of the Euro tournament. Gloom and despondancy all round.

On a more cheery note, my friend Linds, in NZ, posted our Christmas presents early. They arrived today. I have yet to think about Christmas, never mind wrap or post anything. But it is great to have a parcel already!

Have a wonderful happy thankful day tomorrow, and I hope all your turkeys are perfect!

Well, I would wish you a happy Thanksgiving, but it's not your holiday. So just have a wonderful weekend!

That's pretty awful about all the personal information being compromised!

I've just finished the turkey with the last slice of bacon so I'm good to go for tomorrow.
Happy Thanksgiving to you too

I don't even care much for turkey, so I'm glad I'm not doing one today--my sister-in-law gets that honor. I got to make pumpkin pie, birthday brownies, my famous pesto salad, and of course, sweet potatoes!

Congratulations on the job!!! I pray it will be a good fit all around.

And so sorry to hear about the bank account situation. Lord, have mercy!

I spent today (after eating turkey, of course!) decorating the house for Christmas. It seems like the holiday season is over so fast each year so I like to get the decorations up as fast as possible.

Now I wait to see if my one slightly naughty dachshund dog will will eat any of the stuff!

We have had so many incidents like this with various accounts here in America. Another reason to be thankful that our faith and trust and protection is in the hands of Almighty God and him alone.

Governments seem to make monumental stuff ups all the time, but that is ok. GGGGRRRRRRR!!

Hmmm. I thought I commented here, but guess not!

I know how you feel about the identity thing. Several times lately whole computers full of information on university students has been "lost." Unbelievable. Then Kristen losing hers and the kids' social security cards puts a scare in us.

I hope you're having a relaxing week-end!

BTW, my SIL is having 16 over for traditional American Thanksgiving dinner today. My brother decided to have schnitzel for dinner in Germany.

I'd feel terrible too if my personal info was compromised in some way.
Congratulations on the new job!
You're going to be one busy lady.
Can't wait to see pictures of your studio..
