Tomorrow is Thursday

And Thursday is the day before Friday and Friday is the start of the weekend. You can tell that my mind is full of fascinating, challenging thoughts.

I was invigilating for an exam yesterday, and I suddenly felt as though I was going to pass out. Weird. Anyway, I came home after work, feeling as weak as one of Isabelle's kittens, and as white as a sheet, curled up on the couch, and the next thing I knew it was 8pm. And I could not even face a cup of coffee. For me, that was dire. However, I am fine now. Heaven knows what was wrong, but I seem to have recovered.

This week has been a bit of a slump for me. I suppose that was inevitable after Diana left, but it is not a comfortable place to be.

Work??? Hmmmm.

One of the (many) things I tried to teach my own kids, was to choose a career which made them want to get up in the morning and go to work. Something that filled them with a desire to want to do it, and to do it well. You know what I mean? So here I am. Doing something I really do not want to be doing. Just do as I say and not as I do, kids!

And apart from work, I have nothing of great moment to chat about. This has to class as the world's most boring post.

Goodnight.

So glad that you are feeling better. That is a rather bothersome issue -- especially to NOT want a cup of coffee.

Take heart in knowing that you are making an impression on all those young minds -- whether they appreciate it or not at this age. Teachers deseve a lot of credit for what they have to deal with each day.

I hope that your weekend will be well worth the wait.

So glad you are feeling better. Maybe you just needed some quiet rest on the sofa! I'm sure you are sad that your daughter has gone back and that may have brought on the doldrums, it would with me.

Have been reading about the wedding! What gorgeous pictures! It has always been a dream of mine to some day visit Switzerland. Maybe some day!

My kittens, or cats as we must now call them, aren't really weak. Springy, determined, purry is what they are.

However, they're honoured to be mentioned in your blog.

I taught for 6 years in a comprehensive school, and for the first 5 of those, I got up every morning with a sick feeling in my stomach. Every day I had at least one class which was potentially troublesome. The 6th year I just happened to have classes which were all nice.

Never again. I do sympathise. FE or a private school - do try. Or maybe winning the lottery...?

Sometimes your body just says "I need a rest!" and just stops....or you could have had a little blood sugar drop, that happens to me sometimes. Glad you feel better. I'm Nancy from Florida.

Oh, my friend - we are indeed "kindred spirits", as Anne of Green Gables would say! I'm glad you took time to share your feelings with me today. ((( HUGS )))

Glad you are feeling better. Maybe you needed that rest. Not boring, just life.
I am glad you now see Liverpool in a different light!

Yesterday I was going to the gym - sat down to read the paper - could not make myself do anything but go down and lie on the couch, sleeping all afternoon. FELT WONDERFUL!!

Must have been the day for couch napping!

Hi Linds,
Thank you so much for your kind comment. Your words encourage me.
I'm so sorry about the job. We just need to pray that the Lord will give you the desires of your heart. What would that ideal job be?

It doesn't matter how boring you may think your posts are they are always highly entertaining to me!

Hope you don't have another episode like that one again.

Hope you have rested a lot today.

I have a theory about the teaching career and how so many of us wind up with one. (Nope, not sharing it today.)

You know, I enjoy reading your blog so much, I don't even care if you think you're posting something dull because I know better.

Even with all the hoopla of the weekend, hope that you are getting some quality rest. We gals in our 50s must take good care. ;>
