And to be honest, when you drive to forest, the path is right there, and level, and the waterfall is not far at all, and there are benches to sit on everywhere, so it is not impossible. The UK could learn a lot re benches. There are very few where I live.
Did I mention all the leaves falling in the forest? They are turning red, yellow and orange. In August. There is snow on the mountains, and tonight a huge hedgehog arrived on the patio. It has now disappeared under the garden cupboard. I think it is intending to hibernate. I am not in the least surprised. It is cold.Waterfalls......
Rivers......
And so you can see a little of my day today. It is now nearly 1am. This is becoming a BAD habit. Night all!

You did it! It may all sound as if it's perfectly designed to help you out at every turn, but I know that there is plenty of effort on your part. We don't have many benches in our corner either. Scrumptious photos. There are leaves turning here, too, but it must be the shorter days for it can't be the cooler ones.
What wonderful pictures. I am so happy that you can get out there. Amazing that the leaves are turning already! Such beauty.
There IS something about being out in the woods that makes one smile more. I find when I am out there either alone or riding the horses with my granddaughter we laugh and smile more and just enjoy the butterflies, dragonflies, different bugs that fly by, pretty rocks, pretty leaves, odd looking stumps, birds, all of the things that make up the forest. It is an added bonus when a mom deer and her baby run by in front of us or Mrs. Hedgehog and her three babies waddle along the road. (We keep our distance!) How I would miss it if I couldn't get out there. Loved your pictures and post!!!!!
Oh so gorgeous!!!!!! I am so glad that you are able to get out and enjoy it as you do, Linds.
I love the smell of the forest - all cool and fresh. And the sound of water is so soothing. I wish we had more benches along trails so one could just sit and be, instead of rushing along. It's wonderful to hear about your days and the beauty surrounding you there in the Alps. Savour every moment, my friend!
