Hello from the Alps

I am in Switzerland, and am half asleep. It has been a long day. But... I am really glad to be here, and to have the chance to go walking in this place, which is really special to me. I am surrounded by mountains, and real alpine beauty, and I just love it.

This afternoon, as I was walking round my sister's garden, I heard the sound of many many bells, and I climbed up to look over the wall, and the cows were on their way down the mountain for the winter. They walk. On the road. With their huge bells clanging, and their herdsmen on foot, and some were wearing garlands of flowers (the cows, that is ). It was SO Swiss, and I took a video on my camera, and will try to post it tomorrow. I completely forgot to take any photos of course. I hope there are more cows on the march while I am here.

The inquest. I will talk about it tomorrow too. I am still processing everything, and thinking through what I learnt, and I honestly just want to have some peace right now. I was fine. I did not disgrace myself. I asked the questions, and the Coroner was very good, and never hurried me. I could not have done any more, and I could not have asked anything else. I am so glad this part of it is over. Knowing I had my own worldwide circle of friends holding me up in prayer was a truely awesome feeling, and I cannot thank you all enough for the support you have shown, and the encouragement you have given me.

And Peter, my friend, and Marge, my sister, sat beside me throughout the day, and were amazing. We were a team, and quite formidable too.

So now I am off to rest, knowing that I have a few days to recharge before the next stage of my life starts. I will be back. With the cows.

I loved picturing the cows. How special that had to be.

This sounds like an idyllic place to rest and renew. The thought of the cows wearing flowers is lovely.
Will look forward to your video and next post.
