Disaster.....

I did not go to bookclub. Roads too dire.

I came in, and made a cup of coffee.

A large cup.

And then I tripped.

Where did the full coffee cup go???????????????????

Straight into my craft basket.

The place I keep all my special papers and stickers and toppers, and creations.

Sob.

Ruined.

Oh...

Into my shoes to.

Anyway, my sister has just been on the phone to comiserate and she reminded me that I keep saying that the beauty of life is in the ups and downs, and that I have simply had the whole lot in one day. Right. Do not believe a thing I say in future. There is NO BEAUTY in my messed up craft bag, and there is VERY LITTLE beauty in the state of my house right now with bits and pieces of paper everywhere trying to dry out.

I do believe I will go to bed right now.

Oh, no!! I probably would have cried right on the spot. I hope you can rescue/dry out most of it, at least the important stuff. ((( HUGS )))

What book did you read for book club? I hope you'll be able to gather another night and have a great time discussing, chatting, eating and drinking!! Take care - and do not, I repeat - do not - attempt to shovel snow tomorrow.

This is indeed awful. I hope that can figure out something after a good night's rest. (I'm glad that someone knew it was good to remain home in such weather.)

You just scared the pants off me! I thought you were going to say you slipped and landed on your knee. I was about to ring the airport and come and nurse you.

I am not down grading the disastrous results of the craft basket - honest -it's just that I was so relieved that it was not your knee.

Ouch! I hope you never have a day like that again. And staying in and skipping book club's events to remain in a warm and safe place is wise indeed.

Sorry about your craft basket.

Linds, I'm sorry to say you sound like me..... I went out to feed and gather eggs before I went to work.It was the first day of the freezing rain. There is 1 low spot in front of the gate which fills with water(and processed chicken food). Don't you know my feet slid and I sat in the lovely mud puddle......I had to rush in change clothes and wash my pants and coat before I left for work. Then the power went out for 3 days and my coat wasn't dry.....So yes I feel for you.
God bless, Donna

Oh dear, I am sorry. I could easily do that myself (ask my mother about the time I kicked a cup of black coffee on to the brand-new sitting room carpet...)

Think about getting to play with a tiny baby soon?

Awwwww you poor dear, I would have been devastated as well! Of all the places a spilled cup of coffee could go, it would just have to go into your craft basket:-( Reminds me when I spilled my cup of coffee on my keyboard...I couldn't save it and had to suffer a couple of days not being able to use the computer until I got a new keyboard! lol xoxo

Oh Linds,

There is NO good place for that hot coffee to have gone but I am so thankful you did not burn yourself or your leg you are trying so hard to mend. I hope as things dried, it may not have all been a loss. Coffee does leave a unique stain sometimes. I have done it to lace and it was great. I am sorry for you though sweetie and hope today was a better one for you. I love you and hope I am not too late to send a few HUGS your way.
