Magical moments in the garden...

Yesterday morning was bright and beautiful. I think it must have rained, or maybe it was the dew but the flowers glistened and sparkled in the sun, and I had to take some photos. Try to capture the moment. Then I got a little sidetracked by the call from my son after the scan, and then I had to speak to my daughter-in-law, and that was the day gone, because I was a little busy being the bush telegraph!

Sigh. It is so great. And thank you all for your comments and for celebrating with us!

Back to my garden....

I thought that the dew looked like diamonds on the leaf.....

This beautiful rosebud - just look at the perfection -and the dew on the roses below.... they look as though they sparkle with magic dust!

And the cosmos is flowering all over the place. Lovely.

Yesterday, friends popped in and out during the day, and last night, I went out for a glass of wine and nibbles with more friends. It was so lovely to sit in the garden as the air cooled a little and catch up with them. I never did have time to eat my supper last night - people kept waltzing in, and I removed my plate from the oven at 11pm and stuck it in the fridge. It will do for supper today! I would rather have people waltzing in any day. Who cares about things like food. Mind you, I did nibble quite a bit while I was out. I do not want to think about all that cheesy goodness and dips and crisps and berries and cream. Not to mention the wonderful sparkling wine too. There are a lot of sparkles in this post today, it seems.

Yesterday was one of those special days.

Anyway, I may have been a little energetic. Maybe a little too energetic, because I am feeling the consequences today. The couch and I will be bonding again. My friend, Margaret, popped in this morning to say she is coming to work in my garden later - she is my gardening fairy, and she brought me the loveliest bunch of sweet peas from her garden. They are next to my couch and they smell of heaven.

So I am off to relax, dream, and rest a little. I need to get my stregth back for February. Did I happen to mention that I am going to be a Granny?

Wow - I can see that I should have come back again yesterday! What a difference a day can make in our outlooks on life! I am so happy for you - and that the baby won't be in New Zealand or Switzerland! What wonderful news for you, at such a good time.

The garden looks absolutely lovely. The bee in the cosmo is the perfect final touch.

TAKE IT EASY!!

It's about time you had a sparkly kind of day, which, by the way, sounded simply marvelous.

Margaret, aka the garden fairy, sounds like a garden angel. Hope that you two have the chance for tea and a visit, too.

So Linds are you going to be a "Granny"? I'm a Nonni. The other grandmother is the "Granny" and my mother is the "Grandma" and my grand-mother is the "Nana." I had to choose something and I'm pleased with my choice. It's quite a thrill to hear my little grand call me "Nonni" now that he's figured out just who I am.

You thought I wasn't excited, well I am like a volcano that has erupted. Shame the knitting needles aren't attached to the national grid as we would all have free electricity. I am excited +++
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ but anxious for my little girl. I'm brimming with love for baby, A & A. Granny 2b 2

What a lovely morning in an English garden! I like all the dewdrops too. And a day filled with friends is a perfect day - so glad you are surrounded by those who love and care for you (and even do work for you!!).

Have you got a baby quilt all planned out already?! I'm sure you will make something absolutely gorgeous for the little one.

This is an "Off Topic Comment" but...I seem to have lost my knack for posting/commenting in 'Blog Land,' for a while. All I do lately, is put up a few photos, here and there. I didn't plan on it... It just happened.

And since I don't want anyone to think I got *uppity* or anything, :-) I'm leaving this comment, to explain my absence.

I'm sure to be back in not too long. Can't keep a "Chatty Person" quiet, for too long. :-)

Hope tomorrow is just as sparkly. I'm envious of those roses. Never been able to grow any. And they certainly can't be planted here. I enjoyed seeing yours.

I am smelling those sweet peas all the way over here in California. I absolutely love that smell.

It sounds like you had a lovely day with visitors and how lucky you are to have a garden fairy.
