Visions after sleepless nights..

Just to tell you that the humidity was so dire last night that no-one has slept a wink. I hobbled past the mirror in the middle on the night, glanced at my reflection, and thought I had been abducted by aliens and deposited back on earth through some sort of cosmic whirlwind or other. I nearly passed out from the shock.

For one nanno-second I thought of taking a photo, but decided I had lost my mind. I am not exaggerating when I say that my hair was sticking out in 90 degree angles in every direction. As though it was gelled in place. The sight has probably knocked 10 years off my life.

I am still recovering. I may need therapy.

Oh, and the temps will be over 30 today and the humidity will be worse than yesterday. Remind me of this when I moan about the lack of sun and warmth. Bring back the rain...............

Never happy, are we? Thanks for the giggle at the mental picture of you and "THE HAIR". Enjoy the sun while you have it.

Well, now that I have been scared awake, I am enjoying my coffee while I read about your latest antics. Your discrition of your hair reminds me of my favorite part in the Tom Hanks movie, "Castaway" Where he is talking to Wilson (The soccer ball head) and tells him, "Your Hair Looks Like @*^#(Crap)". That has become our morning greeting to each other. I even greet myself in the mirror from time to time with that line.

I have two little pitiful buches of lavender growing in my garden. Last year I gave Tersie and Melody lavender plants for mother's day. Tersie's died, but Melody's has encreased in size by 3 times. I bought myself a new lavender plant this year just to see if it will survive my loving care. (Tears streaming down my face as I examine my brown thumbs). Anyway....I love the lavender thingies.

I sympathize, but where I live - deep south US - the temp is predicted to get to 101F (38.3C) with humidity near 40% today. Absolute misery for anyone who has to be out in it!!! And early in the day, the humidity is often 80+%. You can work up a good sweat just by walking out the door.

Our heat, which has been pretty high, is more like oven or furnace - which is a blessing, since I do not do well in humidity. I remember one trip across Nebraska before we had an air conditioned car - black seats - awful!! I was so hot that I was melting in my seat - I removed my bra as we drove over the black road which was literally bringing waves of heat into the open windows - which was doing nothing to help the situation. We stopped for gas and some food supplies - I caught sight of myself in the mirror above the produce - I looked so scary I almost screamed. I can't imagine what people thought who saw me walking through that store! I can empathize with you about the no sleep - I've been there in the past, in other states. I hope it improves!

Been hot and muggy here in the south but certainly not as hot as you seem to have had it.
Garden pics nice to see, especially the one with rain drops on.
