HOT!!!

I am melting. I am a puddle. I am dripping in a most unattractive fashion.

It is HOT people. HOT. And there is not the slightest hint of a breeze and humidity is high. Do not mention flies. They seem to be feeling the heat too, so have moved indoors.

And I have bookclub here tonight. I may suggest we all sit on the tiles on the kitchen floor. Or under the garden sprinkler.

I spent the morning taking Glynis to the hospital for a procedure - see - we take turns visiting hospitals with each other.

Now I am off to find something cold to drink. I will be back.

We haven't had any hot days this year yet. I think the highest has been +28 but it was only for 1 day. On Friday night we had our winter jackets and down filled vest on so we could eat supper outside on the deck!

Hey, our book club meets tonight too!! I'll be thinking of you. We are discussing "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society". What was your choice this month? The host lives beside the local lake so I'm sure we'll be out on her deck - I must remember to take my fleece jacket along! Have fun - and have a cold drink for me I'll have a cup of ta for you :))

Getting out of "stir" today!

Hoping the air is cooler here than it seems to be there.

We'll talk soon.

I also hope that Glynis' appointment goes well.

Somebody turned on the furnace here today - 92 degrees F. But it's not so humid here. Sorry you're melting! Enjoy book club - anyplace you can be cooler? That's one good thing about Colorado is that it cools off in the evening, even if it's hot during the day.

I need to check with my brother and see how it is in Manchester.

You need to get yourself one of those blow up kiddie pools to sit in! lol We just went through two weeks of very hot and sunny days...if it hadn't been for the air conditioning I don't think I would have survived it!! Ugh! Today it's much cooler so now I'm happy:-) Hope your bookclub meeting goes well tonight and that you're not left with a puddle of melted people on your floor! lol xoxo

I had a meeting for work outside once when it was close to 100. They set up garden hose spritzers spraying right on us. It felt great!! It didn't help the business paperwork and notes much though.

Hope it cools down for you soon!

I share your sentiments - although we are blessed with a.c. because we would simply die of the heat if we didn't. We have had triple digit heat for days. If I don't get out for a walk early in the morning, it just doesn't happen.
We're praying, praying, praying for rain!

I would love to ave a wee bit of sympathy for ya - I really would - but - nah! Thunder and lightening, very, very frightening - here.

Hot? You call that hot? ;)

It's quite pleasant here in Edinburgh. Short sleeve weather but not too hot.

Just thought I'd say.

I love your hanging basket hangy thing. What a great device.
