Evidence.......

You wanted to see the pile? Well, this is part of it. A very small part of it.
Stars and snowflakes being starched.....

And piles of stars already done....

And the stripey hair. I told my friends it was stripey and I don't think they believed me. One friend said "Good grief - it really DOES have stripes!" Indeed it does. Maybe a few too many and a little bolder than I anticipated, but hey, I am in an adventurous mood, so let's go stripey. At least the hair is charting new territories.

I did mention on Facebook (PLEASE join Facebook if you haven't yet - communicating is wonderful and instant!) (Then come and tell me you have joined so I can be your friend!) that I will have to wear purple now and start clanging my stick along railings.

So there we have the new stripey Linds. Get used to the stripes, people. It will take a while for them to grow out. Maybe I can add more, different stripes ..... green. Purple. Hmmm. I can be a rainbow.

18. Coffee tea and chats with friends.
Today is Julia's birthday. She is in the middle of her chemo treatment, and she and I went out to our favourite place for coffee and a chat this morning. Just lovely to sit somewhere warm and catch up. Actually, we had soup as well. Homemade soup. Great. The garden centre is putting in their annual ice rink at the moment. It was a roaring success last year, and will be even bigger this year. A real outdoor ice rink!

And then this afternoon, after Mum's check-up at the doc, we popped in to see Jean, and have some coffee and biscuits and more chatter. Lots of laughter too, and bemusement. Jean has wrapped all her presents and is almost finished making all her cards. I am falling way behind here.

Oh well. I have stripey hair. Not everyone has that.

Thanks for the pictures Linds. They are just adorable. Did you crochet the white ones too or are the tatted? They are beautiful.
And I like your hair. It looks pretty!

And beautiful stripey hair it is, too. It really does look great, Linds and healthy and flirty. No Facebook for me, I'm afraid. No time!

Oh how did I forget to say that I love the crocheted snowflakes and the flowers that you've been working on. Very busy hands you've had!

Well - the stripey hair looks wonderful. And all the stars! "I'm seeing stars!" takes on a whole new meaning.

I think that the hair looks great! Who says that we all have to be the same - that would be so boring. It's good to be different!
The stars look amazing - impressive when you think that last year at this time you were only just starting to learn how to crochet.
I know which garden centre you're talking about! I'll be there soon!!

I sure wish I was on your Christmas list! Everything looks great. Talk about being behind - I haven't even starting thinking about it, because it exhausts me to even consider the shopping - since I indeed won't be making anything! I wish I could get all the adults in my life to make a "no gift this year" pact!

I hope to get cards out this year, since I didn't last year. And I only got one of my trees up last year, and just barely. I'll have lots of help this year - the kind that wants to make all sorts of cookies. I can't help it, I just get so tired thinking of all of it. But I MUST get with it and make it special for them this year.
