The sun does shine sometimes!

The sun is shining. This is the flowerbed in the front of the house. Yes, I know it needs attention and hacking back and weeding, but I took this photo with MY NEW CAMERA! And I managed to get it off and here, so be suitably impressed.

My camera and I are bonding. I am so thrilled that I can actually make it work. I have been in the garden all morning, and I will not bore you with endless hosta photos etc, but I also managed to do my hanging baskets and pots round the patio, and now just have the 3 in the front near the door to do. I am taking Mum to Podington for lunch and we will gather what ever else I need there.

After a week of torrential rain, it is warm and sunny, and it is amazing how the mood changes. The allotment will be next. This afternoon I think. I will take the camera. Of course.

First of all congratulations on a job well done. The picture is beautiful. I love that garden. It is just what I imagine an English Garden should look like.
Isn't it amazing what a sunny day can do for your spirit? It just makes your heart sing!!
Have a wonderful weekend Linds. I'm looking forward to lots more photographic artistry.

You do realize that most cameras now have timers where you can set a little button and run in front of the camera to pose ever so nicely, don't you?? hehe I got my new camera at Christmas and I'm so loving it so I know how you're feeling about yours:-) You did very well taking a picture of your garden and getting it on your blog...I'm duly impressed!!! Looking forward to lots of pictures:-) xoxo

Your flowers are beautiful! Congrats on your camera. I'm sure you will have lots of fun with it.

Considering the shade they must have, I'm sure your hostas are thriving.

Thanks for stopping by. You have a good weekend, too!

Linds- I edited my post. You are right. Any great democracy allows people to fulfill your dreams. I guess I was going for nostalgia and it came across the wrong way. Great to have a comment from the UK!

I kind of like the look of that garden, Linds. It has a sort of wild look and is lovely. I'm sure you can see a lot that needs to be done but the photo comes across as just a lovely place, to me.

Congratulations on the new camera. Fun, fun! And NEVER think you can post too many photos. There's just no such thing. LOL

I love the wonderful free look of your garden too!
Lovely to have a new camera.

You left a comment on my blog asking what width I cut the strips on my spiderweb blocks. They are 1.75", & cut diagonally. Mary of http://maryquilts.blogspot.com/ kindly posted a PDF file with the pattern. It has been a nice quick project thus far.

Oh my. You can prepare salmon so effortlessly and you garden and enjoy photography, too? I would like to come back here, but I may be too intimidated! Just joking. Thanks for stopping by and for the salmon advice. It sounds so easy, and yet, you have no foxes stalking you!

I think the garden looks great! I love flower gardens and CAMERAS! I got so excited too when my daughter bought me my digital camera. I've had so much fun with it. Gotta love those pictures, right?

I totally understand the "bonding" thing with the digital camera. I don't know what I ever did before mine. Well, yes I do, but it's now just the greatest little toy. I don't leave home without it anymore.

I love your garden and I'd love to be there seeing it in person.
